Food Award Barnsley has been developed as part of the Barnsley food and Health Policy. The award has three components, healthier menu, choices, clean air and food safety. There are separate awards for each of the following types of establishments, each with Bronze, Silver and Gold levels.

• Cafes, Tearooms, Coffee Bars and Pubs
• Restaurants
• Takeaway
• Nursing and Residential Homes
